When it comes to Kiwi baby accessories, the fourth in line to the British throne need not worry about hand-me-downs.
New royal baby Princess Charlotte will soon receive her own personalised Safe T Sleep Sleepwrap - the same New Zealand-made product sent to Prince George in 2013.
Miriam Rutherford-van Gisbergen, who designed and developed the baby wrap, says she is thrilled her invention is being sent to the 2-month-old Princess, "as this is often when infants become even more mobile during sleep".
The Auckland entrepreneur said the gift, which will be couriered to the UK next week, will help Princess Charlotte sleep more comfortably, restfully and safely.
It will also allow the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge - as well as Princess Charlotte's other caregivers - a better night's sleep and their own peace of mind, she said.
The Sleepwrap helps prevent babies from falling from their cot or bed and has been used by hundreds of thousands of New Zealand families for nearly 23 years.
